Hailing from the dark landscapes of Doncaster, UK, Peak Flow emerge with their striking new single, “Never Coming Down.” Formed by brothers James Rollings and Jools Rollings, Peak Flow are a powerhouse duo dancing on the knife-edge of darkness. Known for cultivating a signature wall of sound that blends driving rhythm with catchy atmospheric hooks, the pair draw deep inspiration from classic 80s synth-pop and seminal post-punk/goth legends such as Bauhaus, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and The Sisters of Mercy.
Written and produced by the duo, “Never Coming Down” explores the emotional intensity of entering a new relationship—capturing the feeling of being simultaneously euphoric and completely vulnerable. It captures the rush of a connection that can make your heart race, while leaving you torn between surrendering to those feelings and protecting yourself from getting hurt.
Musically, Peak Flow mirror that contradiction through an abrasive juxtaposition of infectious synth hooks, distortion and misery-soaked fuzz, creating something that feels euphoric, yet uneasy beneath the surface.
Release Date: Friday, October 30 across all major streaming platforms, accompanied by a new music video.
The video is dark, and gothic, but still dynamic with a cold cinematic graveyard atmosphere coming through.
"A soaring yet uneasy exploration of vulnerability and euphoria wrapped in distortion and cold-wave synth work."
